Dramatične scene odigrale su se tjedan dana nakon inauguracije novog ljevičarskog predsjednika Luiza Inácia Lule da Silve.

Pristaše Bolsonara odbijaju prihvatiti da je izgubio izbore te su probili barijere i ušli u zgradu u glavnom gradu Brasiliji. Prosvjednici su razbili prozore na zgradi i kampirali su u blizini. Pozivaju na vojnu intervenciju i ostavku da Silve, poznatijeg kao Lula, koji je porazio svog suparnika krajnje desnice na izborima u listopadu. Lula je trenutno na službenom putu u São Paulu.
